- 4. 3. 2006 - Hradec Králové -Just a few years ago, Fabien Calvet had been behind the steering wheel of a race truck, meeting Stanislav Matějovský on the European Truck Racing Cup circuits. Without any doubt, he is, along with L. Faure and N. Crozier, one of the best French race truck drivers of the recent period. For many years, he had managed to win recognition not only in the European Truck Racing Cup races, but also in the French 'domestic' series (Coupe de France). At present, he is the FIA's technical supervisor. Before the beginning of the forthcoming season, he also visited the ČESKOSLOVENSKÝ MOTORSPORT a.s. company's workshops in Hradec Králové in order to carry out the technical inspection of the MAN truck, which is being prepared there for Adam Lacko for this year's race truck season. During his visit to Hradec Králové, supervisor Fabien Calvet said: 'I have been successively visiting all the teams that have entered for the series. From our own experience we know that before the first race, well ahead of time, it is appropriate if we see the vehicle being prepared and go through everything with the technical manager. This way, it is possible to eliminate possible drawbacks in time and prepare the truck properly for the first technical inspection in the first race.' |
