After the last event of the Česká pojišťovna Škoda Octavia Cup, Adam Lacko was examined in hospital. A diagnosis was made which established that his right forearm had not been broken, but seriously bruised. Adam suffered this injury shortly after the start of the first Octavia Cup race on Sunday. The doctors assume that he will not be able to take part in a race for at least two weeks. Unfortunately, the fourth round of the European Truck Racing Cup is held within this period, namely, at the upcoming weekend. So, Lacko will be absent from this event.
The team's general manager Stanislav Matějovský, who knows the Nogaro circuit in France very well from first-hand experience, said: "We are very sorry about it, but we put the driver's health first. The circuit in Nogaro is a very hard one. It is challenging from the point of view of driving techniques, and the driver's maximum concentration and excellent physical condition are essential. Drivers have to cope with scorching heat with a temperature of nearly 50oC, which usually prevails there. It is no bed of roses, really." And, to conclude, Stanislav Matějovský added: "In the course of this period, the team's mechanics will be concentrating on the repair of the race truck, which had also suffered numerous 'injuries'. The whole truck had to be thoroughly repaired, the truck's chassis frame even by means of a frame straightener."
