Last weekend, in beautiful late-summer weather, the sixth round of the 2006 FIA European Truck Racing Cup was Held at Zolder, Belgium, attended by lots of spectators. After the success at his home circuit, Adam Lacko wanted to add to his tally even a better result in Belgium. This was also suggested by the first times that he clocked in Saturday's free practice sessions. Then the Saturday qualifying session came. Lacko was running well, but the gear box of his truck broke down on lap 3. Consequently, he could not take part in the main race on Saturday.
'The mechanics succeeded in repairing the gear box overnight, and we even made technical adjustments in the time between the qualifying session and the main race to make the car more responsive,' Adam Lacko spoke highly of the cooperation within the team after he took an excellent sixth place in the Sunday Cup race, having started from the ninth spot of the grid.
