Forman's prospects of better placing in Sosnová dashed by collisions |
- 27. 8. 2006, Sosnová -Last weekend, in Sosnová, Jiří Forman took part in the penultimate racing event of the Kart Racing Championship of the Czech Republic in order to score points important for the final Championship standings. In the first two races of the KADET category, which is contested by almost twenty young drivers at present, Jirka Forman was running approximately in the middle of the field, and kept improving. 'The first two races did not come up to my expectations. Unfortunately, the fine times I had attained in the timed practice sessions were dashed in collisions. I am glad that everything turned out well in the third race and I succeeded in taking the fifth place in that race,' said the young driver after the races in Sosnová. Jiří Forman gradually claimed the 11th, 10th and finally 5th place in the respective individual races in Sosnová, collecting 21 points in total in his category. With 138 points, he is eighth in the Championship standings at present. At the last weekend of September, he will take part in the final racing event in Vysoké Mýto. |
