- 17. 9. 2006, Parma, Italy -Last weekend, among more than one hundred top-ranking racing drivers, Jiří Forman achieved an extraordinary success at the final international event of this year of the EasyKart racing series (Campionato EasyKart Centro-Nord 2006) held in Parma, Italy. As early as in Saturday's practice sessions, Jirka and his team managed to find the fine set-up of the kart. Then, in Sunday's timed practice sessions, Jirka took a fifth and even a first place, claiming a spot in the first row of the starting grid of the Sunday final race contested by the total of 48 drivers who had qualified from the qualifying sessions. Owing to his concentrated, tactical driving manner, Forman defended his position at the front. In the end, he took the excellent third place. After coming back home, the O2 Prima Team's successful driver said: 'I am very much satisfied with the racing event in Parma. Results, in general, are to a considerable extent influenced by the kart's set-up and by the times attained in the timed practice sessions. This time, we managed to secure both of these preconditions. The final 18-lap race was exhausting, it was held in the rain. I am delighted with the podium spot, and I am happy that I have obtained the invitation for the great international final event Campinato EasyKart (Jesolo Italian and International Grand Finals).' So, Jiří Forman is coming back to Italian racing circuits in less than a month's time. |
