The penultimate round of the Championship of the Czech Republic was held from 22 to 24 September at the Brno Masaryk Circuit, in the agreeable atmosphere of the warm Indian summer.
On Saturday, the three-hour endurance race of Division 4 was held. The O2 Prima Team's drivers Miroslav Forman and Juraj Šedivý, with the AUDI A 4 ST, and Michal Matějovský and Jiří Nykodým, with the Alfa Romeo 147 GTA, were contesting the front positions of the 2000cc category. Forman and Šedivý finished in second place, with the average speed of 129.481 km/hour, closely followed by their team-mates Matějovský and Nykodým, who came third (average speed of 129.296 km/hour). The first place in the three-hour endurance race was taken by the crew of Menabde/Duda with the Alfa Romeo 147 GTA car (average speed of 130.705 km/hour).
The team might have achieved even a better result, but the crew of Urban/Lepka with the second Alfa Romeo 147 GTA car had to retire from the race due to an engine breakdown shortly after the start, and the mechanics had to do a lot of work in order to repair the engine and prepare the car for the Sunday sprint race. In that race, Juraj Šedivý, with the AUDI A 4 ST, was doing very well. He took the third place, behind Maděryč (BRT, AUDI A4 ST) and Jupa (Křenek Motorsport, Škoda Octavia). The other team drivers did not fall behind. Jan Urban, with the Alfa Romeo 147 GTA, finished just behind the first five cars, while Jiří Nykodým with another Alfa took the ninth place. The team's guest, David Šita, with a Škoda Octavia car, came thirteen.
