On Saturday afternoon, Pavilion E of the Brno exhibition grounds saw another event of the well established 'Meeting of Motor Sports Champions' series. This year of the Meeting, accompanied by an innovative contest comprising several disciplines, was attended by numerous top-ranking drivers, for example Jan Kopecký and Filip Schovánek, Václav Pech and Petr Uhel, Josef Semerád and Bohumil Ceplecha, to say nothing of hill-climb drivers Milan Svoboda and David Komárek and others. The accompanying contest consisted of multiple disciplines, such as walking on stilts, child-scooter races, or bicycle, kart and four-wheeler races. In conclusion, each of the teams had to push a race car and change all of its tyres. The sixteen drivers participating formed four teams, each of four drivers. Each of the teams included representatives of the individual categories, that is, racing-circuit, hill-climb and rallye drivers. As they were the most numerous, the rallye drivers even made up one half of the mixed team that proved to be the most successful one in the end. This amusing relaxation event held in Brno was the conclusion of the season of 2006. Some of its scenes will also be shown in the 'Svět motorů' motor sports program of the ČT 2 TV channel.
Successful racing-circuit drivers, who had claimed the top positions of the standings of this year of the Racing Circuit Championship of the Czech Republic, were also invited to take part in the Motor Sports Champions Meeting. The company ČESKOSLOVENSKÝ MOTORSPORT a.s. was represented by racing driver Miroslav Forman, who had come second in the overall standings of the category up to 2000 cc of Division 4 of the Championship of the Czech Republic. Among those awarded was also racing driver Juraj Šedivý, who had taken the overall third place in the same competition.
