Adam Lacko made use of the break in the Truck Racing Cup and in the Octavia Cup and, with the FUCHS-Star-Moto Racing team of Poland, took part in a race of the 2006 Porsche Carrera Cup (www.racecam.de) which was held last weekend in Oschersleben, Germany. In the Saturday timed practice for his debut race of this cup series, Adam Lacko claimed the seventeenth position on the grid of thirty drivers. In the 22-lap race on Sunday, owing to his reliable driving style, he fought his way to the fourteenth place.
After Sunday's race, Adam Lacko said: 'I think that my debut in the Porsche Cup was not bad, but we are still learning how to set up this car. After driving for ten or twelve laps, not only the car's grip, but also the car's cornering characteristics got worse. So, we must devise some measure that would allow the car's driving characteristics to remain stable to the maximum possible extent throughout the race; this will certainly help us to improve the results. But we will not be testing with the car any more because a series of races of the European Truck Racing Cup and of the Čeká pojišťovna Škoda Octavia Cup is ahead of us. And, our main goal now is to succeed in these races.'
