Finally, he took third place in the circuit racing, above 3500ccm category. The modern Budapest's hotel RAMADA hosted the winner-announcement gala-evening in its congress hall on Saturday, 15th December 2012, where those the best were given prizes within the FIA Central European Zone in attendance of the FIA representatives from particular countries, and by an array of guests.

The Czech Republic was represented by Mr. Radovan Novák, a FIA delegate, and the FIA Central European Zone president; the host country by Mr. Zsolt Gyulay, the MNASZ president; and the FIA management by Mr. Jean Todt, the FIA president. The 2012 Circuit Trophy category winners awarded in Budapest are: first place - Max Stanco, Poland, driving Ferrari F430 GT3, scoring 170 points; second place - Atila Bárta, Slovenia, driving BMW Alpina GT3, scoring 120 points; third place - Michal Matějovský, the Czech Republic, scoring 116 points, however, he was not able to take part in that ceremony. "I'm not staying in the Czech Republic at the moment, that is why I couldn't go to Budapest. The Trophy was picked up by the team representatives, and I feel happy I managed to win the last round in AUDI A4 DTM since it was included in the FIA Central European Zone point scoring. As we have already said, me and the Bohemia Racing team couldn't have wished better final with DTM racing machine. I deeply appreciate the work with this team, and I once more thank for that opportunity. I feel content with the result I have achieved despite I couldn't take part in all rounds owing to my study duties; and I'm looking forward to the cup from Budapest," commented on the festive evening Michal Matějovský calling from abroad.
