Pre-Season Test Delivers Positive Results

A pre-season testing took place on the circuit in Monza, Italy, during the last two days. Also the Czech team Křenek Motorsport and the drivers, Petr Fulín and Michal Matějovský, took part in. The team had an excellent chance to test team's cars BMW 320si just on the track where this season's initial racing act will be performed in less than a full week.

Josef Křenek, the team's boss: "It's been the first testing this season. First, we had to check out the machines after the winter overhauling, and work out the basic setup of the chassis with a new Öhlins shock-absorber we're gonna use this season. It also gave Michal the opportunity to go with his new car, and I'm happy to say that all lived out our expectations. Both drivers drove the times allowing us to fight for the highest positions; Petr Fulín's time 2:02.755 was the fastest in the test."

Petr Fulín: "The testing proved the car runs; and we're well prepared for oncoming season. I do like this circuit, it's one without too many turns, but with a well-established tradition, and the atmosphere anybody can sense. What's more, despite my cold I made a good time, therefore I'm satisfied."

Michal Matějovský: "The first day was a pretty new one for me, so I was just learning. BMW is a great car, both on road and in race. I had had a bit of trouble with the gear change before I got used to "H", but I believe I've made it; so now it's just about speeding up and speeding up. I'm planning to do some exercise next week to be physically fitter, and then it will start out."

The team are going back to Bohemia for a few days, but on Thursday the whole team column will move to the famous Autodromo Nazionale Monza, where the first two races of the season are held at the weekend on 23rd and 24th March, 2013, entered by only Michal Matějovský and Petr Fulín. However, the second racing weekend on the Slovakia Ring, Slovakia, at the end of April, the team are supposed to be complete, that means with Jaromír Štádler and his SEAT.
