Looking Back at Successful FIA ETCC Round on Slovakia Ring

- 1. 5. 2013, Hradec Králové, CZE -<

The new Miss Slovakia, Karolína Chomisteková (19), who has lately enchanted also a Rapper named Rytmus, is among the most beautiful Slovak Misses of the recent years. Invited by a car racing driver Michal Matějovský she visited on Sunday, 28th April 2013, the Slovak car racing circuit Slovakia Ring close to Bratislava to support the Czech Křenek Motorsport team, whose drivers Michal Matějovský and Petr Fulín with their BMW 320sis are taking part in circuit car racing, the FIA ETCC - European Touring Car Cup.

The FIA European Touring Car Cup (FIA ETCC) is the area of motorsports Michal Matějovký has gained good experience in. He did his debut race in this series with an Alfa Romeo S2000 in 2007, on one of the Italian circuits (Adria) to come back to the FIA ETCC later on in 2012, when he had a try at racing with a SEAT Leon 2.0 TDI on the Slovak circuit Slovakia Ring, the round he would win. His older team-mate Petr Fulín first took part in the 2012 FIA ETCC and would finish third in the overall standing. Also this year both of the drivers are in a fair way to a good standing. After two rounds - in Monza and on the Slovakia Ring, Petr Fulín is even in the lead. The 2013 FIA ETCC has five racing weekends to culminate at the early October (6 October 2013) in the Czech Republic, on the Autodrom Brno. Thus the series follows the last years' tradition when the races of the European Touring Car Championship, the series prior to the FIA ETCC, would be win by Czech racing drivers Enge and Vojtěch.

The FIA ETCC round in Slovakia held last weekend was the second racing event of the series; both of the Czech Křenek Motorsport team's drivers Michal Matějovský and Petr Fulín could enjoy a good standing as Fulín had won the race, and Michal Matějovský had taken third place in overall standing. What is a real pity is asymmetric geometry of Matějovský's BMW, damage caused by the collision with a Slovak driver Mao Homola's car, which happened in the Pit Lane just at the beginning of Saturday's Qualifying when the Slovak driver was leaving pits at the untimely moment (see ON BOARD video attachment). As a consequence of this small incident Michal Matějovský did not finish the Qualifying, but would get all back in another two races as the podium finish (twice the third place). Miss Karolína Chomisteková, seemingly, had brought them a piece of good luck and could enjoy their Sunday's victory with them. All interested are now curious about how the Championship will go on. It will turn out soon in the FIA ETCC Round 3 held on the Austrian circuit Salzburgring on 17th-19th May 2013-
