Fulín Dominating Qualifying Session in Pergusa, Matějovský Is To Start from Fifth Place

After the three Qualifying Sessions the Czech team Křenek Motorsport's driver had won at Monza, Italy; Slovakia Ring, Slovakia, and Salzburgring, Austria, nobody defeated him in today's Q on the circuit in Italian Pergusa either. Setting the fastest lap at the time of 1:52.697 in the most prestigious category, S2000, Fulín won the Q followed by Igor Skuz, Ukraine (Seat/1:53.553) and Maťo Homola, Slovakia (BMW/1:53.723). Michal Matějovský in his BMW 320si made set the fastest lap at the time of 1:54.258 and would start tomorrow from the fifth position.

The ETCC Sunday's programme on Sicily is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. by a fifteen-minute warm-up, followed by two cup races scheduled to start at 11:20 a.m. and 12:35 a.m. Those interested may watch the race on the TV Eurosport International live broadcast.

Petr Fulín: "I feel happy about first place in category, however, there'll be a few cars of category Single Make Trophy around me at the start, so I must be careful. It's hard to plan tactic, tomorrow seems impossible to judge; we'll drive it safe. The times that have been driven so far do not necessarily mean a lot, it differs to drive Q in one lap, with a fresh set of tyres, or to go race."

Michal Matějovký: "Q finished fine for me, I guess. Any major error on this track means the end, but despite driving it safe I set a good time. The goal I've set is to get maximum points tomorrow, and if possible I'll do my best to be among podiums."
