Køenek Motorsport Re-Entering FIA ETCC

A Czech team, Køenek Motorsport, has just announced their third seasons in the FIA ETCC championship. The last season's winning team is going to engage two cars of S2000 BMW 320si category. Announced has been also the name of one driver; it is Michal Matìjovský who took fifth place in his debut season in the European Touring Car Cup last year.
"Michal is a young talented pilot. He showed his huge potential during the last season, so I'm happy that our co-operation is also going on this year," says the team's boss, Josef Køenek. "We've known each other for years, and the co-operation with his team is utterly perfect. We've considered a few alternatives, finally we decided for going on in the ETCC. It's a growing championship, the competition is strong, and fully media-supported. Unlike last year, I'm familiar with most of the tracks, so the target I'm aiming for is nothing else but the podium finish in each of the rounds," said while signing the contract Michal Matìjovský.
The team has not still announced another driver. However, it is expected to be so within next couple of weeks. The team has also informed on a preliminary schedule of the FIA ETCC rounds in 2014: 19 April-20 April, Le Castellet (France); 10 May-11 May, Slovakiaring (Slovakia); 24 May-25 May, Salzburgring (Austria); 21 June-22 June, SPA (Belgium); 27 September-28 September, Pergusa (Italy).
