Matějovský Third in Saturday's Free Practice Session
The FIA ETCC Saturday's programme on the Paul Ricard circuit at Le Castellet, France, started at 8.30 a.m. by a free practice session. The Křenek Motorsport team's racing drivers notched the second, resp. third fastest time (Petr Fulín 1:37.639, Michal Matějovský 1:37.905). Driving his Alfa, a driver from Slovakia, Samuel Sládečka, set his fastest time at 1:39.769, which would classify him in Position 10 in the standings. Another Slovak driver, Mao Homola, did not enter the session.
"We just wanted to test our machines in today's sessions, so we changed the adjustment and transmission for second. The result indicated it'd been a good decision to make. We had to deal with heavy traffic on the tack during test sessions. For a clear Q session we'll need just a good team approach but also a bit of good luck...," Petr Fulín said after the test sessions on Saturday.
