Matějovský Field-Testing Also Military Technique in Josefov

The Svoboda Tatra Team's members and a driver, Václav Svoboda and his co-drivers Milan Drázda and Zdeněk Novák, tested their Dakar Tatra T 815 4x4 in the military exercising ground in Josef on 3rd July 2015. At that time there was the 8th Year of the Eastern-Bohemian Association of Military Technique Fans' gathering there. Michal Matějovský took advantage of that and enjoyed rides both in Svoboda's Dakar Tatra and a combat vehicle OT 90.

The testing in the baking summer heat in the military facilities in Josef looked like gearing to the Sahara rally. Actually, the Svoboda Tatra team tested the adjustment to the chassis before the forthcoming event, Central-European Zone Rally Championship that is held in Poland close to Szczecin last weekend in August.

"We welcome the opportunity to test here. We're trying a few adjustments to the chassis. Testing before any rally is essential; we must be well-prepared since other teams will definitely be. We've made some slight modifications to the chassis and rear axle. The Team and the company ČESKOSLOVENSKÝ MOTORSPORT have invited a few of our partners and their guests to get familiar with the racing vehicles just here - difficult terrain, which looks like a true racing track," said Václav Svoboda during test and show rides.

The guests had opportunity to have a ride in that nine-ton Tatra having 930 horsepower along a testing circuit, and to relax in the cross-country team's unusual facilities. They could use the military technique showed by the Eastern-Bohemian Association of Military Technique Fans, which Michal Matějovský hugely enjoyed having a ride in the racing Tatra, and testing the combat vehicle OT 90 across the terrain as a co-driver. "I've never gone in such a vehicle yet. To my surprise, OT 90 went across the uneven terrain easily. It was exhilarating experience, indeed; well, I thank the organizers for that...," was Michal Matějovský's comment on his ride in the armour protected carrier.
