Media Avalanche

- 28. 8. 2012, Prague, CZE -

The fastest truckers on the Continent have to wait just a few tens of hours until the eight round of the European Truck Racing Championship. Oncoming date corresponds to the growing interest from media. The Buggyra International Racing System representative was literally buried under the media avalanche yesterday. Following the TV programme Breakfast with Nova, a press conference was held in the restaurant Avion 58 in Prague's quarter, Holešovice. Along with David Vršecký and Michal Matějovský, the pilots who are going to fly the Buggyra flag, also the team manager Jan Kalivoda and the ex-champion of Europe, Stanislav Matějovský attended the conference. "We have already agreed with Michal team's management on one race. Then we are going to talk about next prospective cooperation. Anyway, the name Matějovský does belong to Most," said the Buggyra manager, Jan Kalivoda at the press conference.

Michal Matějovský sees the round in Most as a possibility to gain more experience. "Some time ago, me and my father were considering the fact I could possibly enter the trucks. I have driven Audi in the Czech championship this season, then I nipped to the European touring car championship, so it is varied. But I do not mind it at all, I can think about how we can direct ourselves next seasons," said Michal Matějovský at the today's gathering with journalists.

On the circuit in Most, his team mate Vršecký is going to try to get closer to the third place in the total series ranking; at the moment he is losing 26 points to another Czech Adam Lacko. The championship is clearly led by the MAN drivers: Jochen Hahn (Germany) and Antonio Albacete (Spain). "Any time I won here in Most, I won the title at the end of the season. I do not think I will be the champion this year, but I am definitely going to put all my energy into race on the home circuit," said the double champion of Europe, Vršecký.

Michal and David moved then to the most sought-after address in the Czech air, the radio Frekvence 1's residence where they were sitting in the Sportbar from 5 p.m. Michal Matějovský will be a guest on the popular TV magazine Mixxxer and TV Óčko on Wednesday, 29th August 2012. "Media belong to our sport. To be more exact, we would hardly exist without them. So, we are extremely satisfied," summed up the day Jan Kalivoda.
