Křenek Motorsport Heading for Slovakia Ring

- 23. 4. 2013, Slovakia Ring, Slovakia -

The European Touring Car Cup full season is just about to begin again after a one-month gap, and the Křenek Motorsport stable are heading for Slovakia to replicate the recent success. And that is truly a lot to be followed! Successfully entering the season in Monza, Petr Fulín is going to battle for maintaining his leading position in the Super 2000 on the track where he lost a good position on the grid in the start line-up last year due to scrutineers' negligence, but would come once third and once first after a thrilling pursuit. "Competition is alert, surely trying hard to overcome us. While we were testing on the Slovakia Ring at the beginning of the week, there were loads of cars within public testing, so it was just impossible to drive one single undisturbed lap. That's why we have to wait to see the competitors' times to make comparison. Like usual, all team are gonna do our best for a good result. I'll never forget last year's racing weekend; thanks to the ban placed on Tdi the races could be even more attractive this year. Hopefully, the nice weather will stay and we'll drive in the dry conditions," Petr Fulín said about the preparations and outlook before oncoming racing weekend.

Michal Matějovský, another Křenek Motorsport team's racing driver, is coming back to the "venue". Taking part in the last year's series just seldom, this racing driver coming from Hradec Králové stood twice on the podium (first place and second place), and thanks to him, but also Petr Fulín, the Czech national anthem could be heard twice on that track close to Bratislava. Michal Matějovký commented on his participation: "I can't compare this year with the last year. I went in a front-wheel-drive car, with sequential gearbox, now I'm going in a rear-wheel-drive car with manual transmission. I had already known before that I was going to adapt to a new style, and after the races in Italy the testing in Slovakia came in handy. The podium finish on the Slovakia Ring would be surely fine, but the start field is strong, and it won't be a piece of cake. Yet I think I need to polish just a few details, and I sure gonna to try to continue somehow the last year's success."
