Winning the podium finish were also his teammates, Petr Fulín from the Křenek Motorsport team, notching up the Golden Steering Wheel 2013 win, the second place went to David Vršecký from the Buggyra International Racing System team. Matějovský scored 59 points in total awarded by motorsports journalists after he had taken the fifth place in the European Touring Car Cup championship (FIA ETCC 2013); he has once entered also the European Truck Racing Championship (FIA ETRC). "I feel satisfied with the results in 2014, and I do appreciate the award from the motorsports journalists. It's my first season in the European Championship to be complete, by now I'd just appeared as a guest driver in one or two races, which is completely different. The award is a sort of challenge for me to get the top in the FIA ETCC 2014 season I'm making up for now. I believe, we'll be able to be well prepared to follow the last year's results and to better them. Thanks go to both teams whose flag I wave for association in the last season, and I'm looking forward to next races," said after the awards ceremony held in the TOP Hotel Praha Michal Matějovský, an automobile racing driver.

The gala evening, where also two singers Markéta Procházková and Olga Lounová appeared, was presented by Barbora Černošková (ČT) and Petr Dufek (SPORT-PRESS). The video recording is on on Česká televize, ČT 4 Sport channel, 29th January 2014, after 8 p.m.
