Petr Fulín and Michal Matějovský Back in FIA ETCC 2014 Series in Křenek Motorsport Team's Livery

- 31. 3. 2014, Prague, CZE -

Petr Fulín, the FIA ETCC reigning champion, will fly the Prague's team Křenek Motorsport's flag again. Josef Křenek's team will hit the road to join the battle for European championship with no change. As announced earlier this year, Petr Fulín's teammate will be no else but Michal Matějovský, and the BMW 320si will be their racing tool again.

"It'd been made no secret of the fact that during the winter break I entered into negotiation on taking part in the WTCC. Despite favourable conditions for seven rounds in the TC2 class, I finally decided against the proposition. It's been one of the most difficult decisions in my life; eventually I told myself I was not disposed to take part in the most expensive career in a four to seven-member start field TC2, I would be unlikely to fulfil my lifelong dream in," explains re-entering into the contract Petr Fulín and adds: "My participation in the ETCC, I figure, is the most realistic option. I've got a car, I'll be in the team I know, and I like working with the guys and Josef Křenek. Well, I know it's not a way of a general conception, however, I can see no better one at the moment. I enjoy sitting in a racing car, doing all my best for results, but to influence the situation in motorsports isn't within my power, I'm afraid. I'm really looking forward to the season with two new racing tracks (Spa and Paul Ricard), and I do believe I'll enjoy it like I did last year..."

Petr Fulín notched up five round wins last year, and beat a Slovak Homola by 14 points in the final overall standings. Fulín made it to the top in the ETCC statistics during two years in the FIA ETCC. He, a native of Plzeň, chalked up the highest number of victories in races (six like Monje and Nykj?r), in Qs (four, like Monje), and the fastest laps (seven like Monje) and the lead in races (67 laps).

The team's boss, Josef Křenek, comments on the renewed contract: "Petr Fulín is among the best European pilots, and I'm happy I can work with him again. We've got an interesting season ahead, including two new circuits Paul Ricard and Spa. All team, consisting of the same members, are appreciate the possibility to take part in the ETCC, and we'll do our bests to gain as best results as possible."
