Matějovský and Fulín Leading Friday's Free Practice Sessions

- 9. 5. 2014, Slovakia Ring, Slovakia -

The only Slovak racing circuit, Slovakia Ring, is the centre of both of the world and European events from the morning until the evening. It is the third time in a row the championship of touring cars - FIA WTCC has arrived at the Slovakia Ring; accompanying the world's championship, likewise in the previous years, is its "smaller" brother, the European Touring Car Cup. For Michal's teammate, Petr Fulín, the weekend will not take a traditional form as he is going to fight in two fronts: both the FIA ETCC and the races of the world's championship, FIA WTCC. The programme on the Slovakia Ring is very busy in the time terms (five different series are to be entered), so both of the ETCC and WTCC cars will happen to set off on the track instantly after one another.

The Friday's event started by the FIA ETCC Test 1, in which only Michal Matějovský succeeded in out of the Czech couple. He had clocked his fastest time at 2:18.023 (mostly on the wet) so took the first place in the S2000 category. The fastest in the afternoon test in the FIA ETCC, S2000 category, was Tamás Kiss, Hungaria, in his Alfa Romeo 156 (2:15:703), followed in the standings by the Křenek Motorsport team's drivers Petr Fulín (2:16.379 / 15 laps) and Michal Matějovský (2:17.828 / 17 laps).

The FIA WTCC and the FIA ETCC is going on tomorrow morning by free practice sessions: 9:00 a.m. FIA WTCC and 9:40 FIA ETCC. The qualifying for the Sunday's races of the FIA ETCC starts at 3:15 p.m. Livetiming on: www.mstworld.com. For more information click on www.ceskeokruhy.cz.
