Michal Matějovský on Podium in Competition 2015 Best Sportsperson of Hradec Králové Region

The results of a popular survey called The Most Successful Sportsperson of the Hradec Králové Region for the year 2015 were officially announced in The Congress Centre Aldis on Thursday, 31 March 2016. The event has been organized by the Hradec Králové Regional Organisation Czech Sports Union together with the Hradec Králové Region, the Sport Action agency, and The Deník newspaper under the patronage of Governor Lubomír Franc, and the Mayor of the City of Hradec Králové, Zdeněk Fink. This time, Michal Matějovský got the second place for winning the FIA ETCC 2015 championship title.

The prize for Matějovský was collected by the team's member, Jaroslav Lněnička, since Michal was taking part in the formal dinner held at that moment as part of President Miloš Zeman's meeting with personalities of the Hradec Králové Region. "Let me greet you on behalf of Michal Matějovský, and thank for the award he's just been presented, and to excuse his absence, since he has accepted President's invitation, and is just now having dinner together with other personalities of the Hradec Králové Region," said Jaroslav Lněnička after taking the prize from Klára Dostálová, the Deputy Minister of the Czech Ministry of the Regional Development, and the Member of the Czech Republic Parliament, Leoš Heger.

The enjoyable gala evening was hosted by a presenter Radek Šilhan. Performing in the accompanying programme were the Trio Nobles, the acrobatic duo Victor & Szymon, a singer Andrea Mea, and many more.
