Jiří Forman in Buggyra Team's New Squad for FIA ETRC 2016

- 6. 4. 2016, Most, CZE -

The Buggyra introduced in Most a new truck and a new duo of racing drivers: Adam Lacko and Jiří Forman. The riddle of the new truck identified as BUGGYRA Fat Fox and its piloting set to defend the European Champion title has been resolved! The opening testing at the Most circuit also included first introduction of the new successor of David Vršecký. Adam Lacko will be paired in the new season of FIA ETRC the twenty-two-year-old Jiří Forman.

After a decade the Buggyra Technology Centre has developed a brand new design of the Buggyra truck. "The novelty is not only in the appearance. All has been carefully tested from the aerodynamic point of view as well. We believe this will take a couple of tens of a second off our times. From the technological point of view the biggest change is represented by the reduced restrictor of sucked air and new chassis elements. We are certainly satisfied with today´s test," said the chief constructor David Vršecký.

In addition to Adam Lacko Buggyra will engage a young pilot who has reached the absolute top in the go-kart category. "In 2002 opportunity was given to David Vršecký who worked his way among the best truckers in history over years," said the manager of Buggyra Jan Kalivoda. "David obtained several podium ranks in his very first season together with the title Newcomer of the Year. We would not mind jirka walking in his steps."

David Vršecký considers transfer from go-karts an advantage. "I would even say this is ideal. Truck is an overgrown go-kart controlled similarly. This is better than to transfer to trucks from cars or formulas which would require change of habits. In addition he is used to contact from go-kart racing."

Although Adam Lacko as the second youngest pilot of the truck racing history enjoyed soaring start in 2003 when he was only eighteen years old (in his premiere race at Estrorilo he ranked fourth and in his third race at A1 Ring he ranked second), he, together with the rest of the team, believes that the new acquisition needs the necessary protection period. "Jirka is up to the top achievements but all needs time. Of course we would like to defend our Constructors´ Cup but not at any cost," says Adam, the hot favourite for the champion title. "I like the truck not only with regard to its appearance but also on the road. I believe our Fat Fox and us will aim very high this year," added Adam.

The subject of the transfer, the twenty-year-old Jiří Forman, admits on the one hand that to replace David Vršecký, one of the best truckers in history, will not be easy, but on the other hand, like David, he loves to face challenges. "Buggyra chose from more pilots and I am glad I was given the opportunity. I feel bound but not stressed by that," states Jirka, who believes that racing is fighting. "It is true that in recent years I raced abroad where the pressure was not so big. Now, on the other hand, I am member of a professional team with the history of 15 years of racing on the top level and lots of champion titles. The conditions are excellent, all works as it should and so now it is up to me to make most of that."
