On Friday, 25 April, the drivers of the brand-new SEAT León Eurocup series met in Valencia, Spain, to take part in a general testing event. So, Michal Matějovský, for the first time, had the opportunity to compare his results with those of the other drivers from countries across Europe. That is, this testing event was attended by drivers from Spain, Portugal, France, Croatia, Italy, the UK, and Russia. The session started at 9.00 a.m., and Michal gradually tested various patterns of the chassis set-up. Moreover, as this was the first time that he had been able to drive at the Valencia circuit, he had to acquaint himself with the track.

After the all-day testing, Michal came second among his team colleagues (five drivers altogether). In the overall standings of the 21 drivers, he was tenth. The fastest man of the day was the 29-year old driver Oscar Nogues, Michal's team-mate and two-time SEAT León Supercopa Champion.

'I have been gradually adapting to the new team and to the new car. Moreover, I must get familiar with the method for setting up the chassis in an optimum manner. Most of the drivers taking part in the series already have the experience in driving this car in Supercopa, but I believe that I will be able to draw level with them soon,' said Michal Matějovský after the first official testing event of SEAT León Eurocup in Valencia, Spain.
