The calm before the storm

Although his program for Friday, 13 June, did not include any racing or testing activities, Michal Matějovský definitely did not have any time to waste. The first event of the day was the live broadcast of the early-morning TV program 'Dobré ráno s Českou televizí' with a number of TV shots featuring the SUNRED-BRT team's pits. Later in the day, Michal had to deal with the tasks and paper work involving the technical inspection of the car, the drivers' briefing, an interview for the 'Branky, body, vteřiny' TV sports programme, and a number of interviews for numerous radio stations. He also met with some of his friends and guests attending the FIA WTCC racing event in Brno. The team's mechanics were working hard to fit a new engine and gearbox into Tom Coronel's and Michal Matějovský's cars. Moreover, the SUNRED-BRT team's pits were visited by racing driver Milan Maděryč, who showed great interest in the preparation of Michal's car for the Saturday qualifying and for the two Sunday races.
'The team's activities are proceeding to schedule. Each of the FIA WTCC races really is a highlight motor-sport event, and so we are doing our best to ensure perfect work organization in the team. Furthermore, this is an opportunity for us to repay our colleagues from Spain a little for their very friendly approach to the members of our team at the preparations for the SEAT Leon Eurocup series' races. Yesterday evening, we spent some time with them in a traditional Moravian wine cellar near Brno. Today, however, we are once again fully focused on the preparation for the weekend racing event,' said Stanislav Matějovský on the eve of the FIA WTCC racing event in Brno.
