After the tyre failure in the Saturday race, Michal Matějovský started on Sunday from a rear position of the grid. He made a good start and, within the first two laps, started overcoming the drivers ahead of him. After passing Barth, of Switzerland, and several others, Michal steadily moved up to run 18th.

In the second half of the race, however, a trouble with the brake system appeared. 'In a treacherous right-hand bend, at a point where the track starts to slope down, I was overcoming Manuel Flamini, of Italy. I needed to slow down, but when I applied the brakes, the braking action was rather slow, resulting in my car going off the track. And so, I had to retire from Race 2 at Brands Hatch as well,' Michal Matějovský said sadly in the paddock.

The Sunday race of the SEAT LEÓN EUROCUP series at the Brands Hatch circuit was won by Marin Colak, of Croatia, while Simoni and Andrea Larini, both of them of Italy, came second and third respectively. The next race of this series takes place in a month, at the Oschersleben circuit, Germany.
